Cinnober
An independent art and design bookshop and gallery by the Round Tower, with good stationery and work by local makers.
Cinnober is an independent bookshop and gallery run by Ulla Welinder, opposite the Round Tower on Landemærket. It has been going for close to two decades and sells books on art, craft and design, art magazines, quality stationery, and textiles and craft from designers and makers it works with directly.
The gallery half is not an afterthought. The shop hosts exhibitions and pop-ups by textile designers, ceramicists, jewellers and other artists, with makers presenting their own work in the room.
A move is under way: Cinnober is leaving Landemærket and reopening at Allégade 25 in Frederiksberg as a combined shop, gallery and museum, in collaboration with Anders Forup of Dansk Form. Worth checking which address is open before you set out.
