April Coffee
The Copenhagen store and showroom of a competition-bred specialty roaster, with coffee, brewing gear and published recipes.
April Coffee was founded in 2016 by Patrik Rolf, a roaster who came up through the competition circuit — a Coffee Masters finalist, and a coach to competitors at the World Barista and World Brewers championships.
April roasts light and precisely, and publishes its brewing recipes; the teaching side of the business, from brew guides to days spent in the roastery, is as much the product as the coffee itself. The store and showroom on Pilestræde is where the current roasts, the brewing equipment, the mugs and the accessories can be found in person — roasting itself happens off-site.
A good place to buy beans if you weigh your water, and a fair place to ask questions if you don't yet.
