Sarah Winther is a Copenhagen goldsmith and jewellery designer whose work sits between traditional goldsmithing and sculpture. She describes herself as an impatient perfectionist, and the pieces bear it out: powerful shapes, raw surface structure and small, precisely resolved details, all designed around the body.
She works mainly in solid gold and silver, including oxidised silver, and everything is handcrafted in her own studio. Alongside the collection she takes bespoke commissions made to order.
Studio 130 on Gammel Kongevej is both workshop and shop, open a few afternoons a week — which means the person behind the counter is the person at the bench.
