MK STUDIO makes porcelain for people who care how the coffee tastes. It was founded by ceramicist Magdalena Kałużna-Włodarek, who studied fine arts in Poznań and design at the School of Form, and Michał Kałużny-Włodarek, who came to clay by way of Copenhagen kitchens — Relæ, Manfreds, Bæst — and specialty coffee.

The studio pairs hand finishing with unusually technical production: CAD design, custom mould making, 3D printing, pressure jiggering and slip casting. Their Mix Wave technique swirls differently coloured casting slips together inside the mould, so the marbling runs through the body of the piece rather than sitting on the surface.

The range covers coffee cups, pour-over drippers, sensory vessels and tableware, including series developed with individual cafés and restaurants. The shop on Frederiksberg Allé is attached to the studio where the work is made.
